Christian Dating Tips For Ladies In Their Early 20's

When seeking a godly Christian guy to marry seek for who put Christ first in every area of his life. These Christian dating tips for ladies will help ladies in their early 20's

Despite the fact that it was bothersome and infuriating at times, I was able to remain optimistic in the knowledge that God was crafting my love story.

God had a man in mind for me, and he was grooming him to be my spouse one day. I didn't know when it would happen, but I knew I could entrust it to the Lord of my life.

But what does that look like while you're dating? What dating advice would you give to Christian ladies in their early twenties?

So, I'm delighted you asked...

But hurry! Before we get started, did you realize that this is part of a series?

When I met the love of my life, I took an 8-month hiatus from the blog. And now I'd like to share what I've learned from the experience with you. This is the third article:

I know likewise you to make some form of commitment to yourself. Committing to yourself, on the other hand, is probably not the best approach to stay focused on anything!

1. (Christian Dating Tips ) First and foremost, make a vow to the Lord.

Any dating website worth its salt will likely and make commitments to consume no sugar at times, but cheat days always seem to pop up!

I made a pledge to the Lord when I was in eighth or ninth school, and that was the only way I was able to stay so positive and focused during my dating years.

My Bible teacher pushed our class to wait until marriage to kiss for the first time.

I took him up on it, as insane as that may sound. That night, I prayed to the Lord and made a pledge to Him to keep my first kiss a secret until my wedding day. There was no way I could ever betray the Lord of my life today.

Do you want to know how I accomplished it? Please read these two posts in their entirety, as they were not easy at times:

So now it's my chance to challenge you: Save Your First Kiss Until Your Wedding Day!

Even while it may appear at first that you are missing out in a variety of ways, there are numerous advantages to waiting to kiss.

I also made this piece a while back with more information on those advantages: Why I'm Holding On To My First Kiss

2. (Christian Dating Tips )Put All Your Hope In God

If you're rolling your eyes because you've heard this one before, or perhaps even too many times, I'd advise you to stay with it this time.

You see, no matter how much you know not to do something, it's quite difficult to actually do it. The only chance you have of finding true fulfillment and joy in marriage and life is to find it in Christ.

You will never be fulfilled by a marriage. A spouse will betray you time and time again. The Lord of the Universe, on the other hand, will never let you down. He will be there for you at all times.

“You shall not fear them,” Deuteronomy 3:22 declares, “because the Lord your God battles for you.”

Here's how to improve your relationship with the Lord so that you can find true fulfillment in Christ alone during the dating process:

1. Every Day Prayer

Do you have a prayer notebook in which you record your requests for prayer? This one appeals to me: Journal of Prayers

2. Reading the Bible every day

Have you read the Bible from beginning to end? I began reading this book last year and have thoroughly enjoyed going through it chapter by chapter. I'm discovering a lot about my Savior. Check out this excellent study Bible.

3. Fellowship With Other Believers on a Weekly Basis

Consider this: how many weeks have I gone to church in a row? Looking at your calendar can help you figure out how many weeks you've been missing church. Make it a priority to spend time with other Christians.

4. Sharing the Gospel on a Constant Basis

Consider this question: When was the last time you shared the gospel with someone else? It isn't always easy or pleasant, but the more we share Christ with others, the more we can see His hand at work.

Spending time with someone is the only actual method to be in a healthy relationship with them. Do you spend time with your heavenly Father?

Do you value your time with Him and make it a priority to spend it with Him? In your dating life, he must come first.

Today is a good day to do a reality check.

3. (Christian Dating Tips ) Be Intentional & Give God The Pen

I can't take credit for this practical dating advice for Christian ladies. It's from the book "When God Writes Your Love Story," by Eric and Leslie Ludy.

They stress the notion of giving God the pen of your love story in the book. We strive to control what only God can control, and we lack trust in Him.

I learned to trust God via the dating process.

It was difficult to hand over the pen to God. So many times, I felt compelled to take matters into my own hands. Before taking these to the Lord in prayer, I wanted to make the best decision I could.

But it was when I trusted God that I met the man of my dreams.

Putting one's trust in God does not imply that no action is required. It entails taking action while being guided.

During each stage of the dating process, seek the Lord. For me, that meant that when the devil's lies made me feel hopeless, frustrated, or annoyed, I prayed to the Lord about it.

That meant that when I was confronted with temptation, I surrendered it to God. That meant that when I was confronted with a difficult situation, I turned to scripture to see what it had to say.

The dating process is a time in your life when God is sanctifying you; a time when He is molding and sculpting you into the woman He wants you to marry.

Handing the pen over to God on a regular basis implies you're always looking for Him and His will. Remember that we are his servants, and a servant always seeks permission from his master before acting.

God first always in anything.

4. (Christian Dating Tips )Have A Mentor Speak Truth Into Your Life

Have someone in your life who can speak the truth to you: practical dating advice for Christian ladies in all areas of life.

Have someone in your dating life who is actively involved. Don't try to conceal.

I attempted to hide for a while so that I wouldn't be criticized or looked down on, but as godly mentors in my life asked more questions, I began to divulge more details about my dating life. I could have more confidence in the dating scene as a Christian lady if a mentor observed something they didn't agree with, spotted a boundary I had violated, or simply had more practical counsel for me.

Having the spiritual maturity to allow a mentor to speak truth into your life demonstrates spiritual development.

A godly Christian man will seek for a godly Christian lady who prioritizes God and demonstrates spiritual maturity in everyday life.

How do you go about finding a mentor? I'd begin at the church. Get to meet some of the older ladies in your congregation who are trustworthy and reputable.

Invite them out for coffee or join them for a Bible study.

Mentoring does not have to be a terrifying or intimidating term. It just entails establishing a deep friendship with someone who can always tell you the truth.

Mentoring does not have to be a terrifying or intimidating term. It just entails establishing a deep friendship with someone who can always tell you the truth.

One of the most reassuring aspects of having a mentor is knowing that someone is constantly praying for you.

But keep in mind that being a good mentee is the key to having a good mentor. Take what has been spoken and start putting it into practice in your life. It requires a humble attitude as well as deed.

So there you have it: 4 Christian dating tips for ladies in Their Early Twenties. Which of the suggestions was your favorite? Which piece of advice did you take away to help you go forward in your dating life?
